Tip: put Claude Cowork to work while you sleep
Cowork's real strength isn't answering on demand, it's working on its own, on a schedule, through scheduled tasks.
Most people use Claude Cowork on demand: you ask, it answers. But its real strength is working on its own, on a schedule, through scheduled tasks.
The idea
Instead of repeating the same request every morning, you set it once. Cowork runs it automatically and delivers the result.
Three concrete ideas
- Your morning brief: “Every day at 7am, summarize the 5 most important stories in my field.”
- Inbox under control: “Each morning, summarize my unread emails and flag the ones needing an urgent reply.”
- A regular check-in: “Every Monday, prepare a progress update from the files in my project folder.”
How to do it
First connect a folder from your computer so Cowork can access your files, run your request once to check the result, then simply say: “do this every morning at 7am.” It’s scheduled.
Good habit
Start with a simple, low-stakes task, check the output for a few days, then expand. You turn Cowork into a colleague who has already cleared the ground before you even turn on your screen.
